Pariston Hill

Pariston Hill is the 13th Chairman of the Hunter Association and its former 12th Vice Chairman, as well as a former Zodiac under the sign of the Rat. He is one of the two principal antagonists of the 13th Chairman Election arc.

He has medium-length dark blond hair and brown eyes, and is best known for a wide, cheerful smile. Unlike the other Zodiacs he makes no attempt to look like the animal he represents: Pariston is invariably in luxurious suits and ties.

According to Ging, Pariston's temperament resembles both his own and Netero's — he likes to play around and enjoy himself, indifferent to winning or losing, which is exactly what makes him so unpredictable. He is permanently smiling, and reading his thoughts or calculating his motives is close to impossible, which infuriates the Zodiacs, Cheadle and Kanzai above all.

He is extremely sly, with a perverse habit: what gives him the most pleasure is destroying whatever he loves most.

He became a Hunter in preparation for Beyond's expedition to the Dark Continent. His influence always extended well beyond his formal post: control of the Review Board, roughly two hundred Temp Hunters through his own agency, and sheer charisma gave him the backing of about a third of all Hunters.
