Takahiro Hanamaki

Takahiro Hanamaki is a wing spiker for Aoba Johsai High, a calm and observant player who rarely says much during a match but reads the game exceptionally well. He's easygoing with his teammates, particularly the other third-years, and shares a especially close friendship with Issei Matsukawa.

Oikawa half-jokingly calls Hanamaki a pessimist, a label Hanamaki takes with the same dry amusement he brings to most things. Despite Aoba Johsai's Interhigh loss to Shiratorizawa, Hanamaki chose to stay with the team through his third year rather than retire, determined to fight for a spot at the Spring Tournament.

After graduating, Hanamaki moved to Tokyo, where he describes himself as being between jobs.
