Bols

Bols is the oldest member of the Jaegers, a former member of the Empire's Incineration Squad who now wields the flamethrower Teigu Rubicante. He wears a gas mask that hides his face at almost all times, self-conscious about how others might react to it, though his warmth quickly wins over teammates like Wave.

Despite his intimidating appearance, Bols is gentle, a devoted husband and father who is quietly tormented by guilt over the villages he has burned in the Empire's name, believing karma will eventually catch up with him. He continues the work regardless, for the sake of his family. During a clash with Night Raid, he is cornered by Akame and Leone and, unable to win the fight conventionally, detonates his own flamethrower's fuel tank in a last, fatal gambit to take them down with him.
