Synopsis
Keiko Ayano, known in Sword Art Online as Silica, is one of the youngest players trapped in Aincrad and the first to tame a monster, a Feathered Little Dragon she names Pina after her cat back home. Despite the danger of the death game, Silica becomes something of a mascot on the middle floors thanks to her rare Beast Tamer role and her bond with Pina.
Cheerful, kind, and easily flustered, especially around romance, Silica genuinely cares for the people close to her, though early fame briefly makes her overconfident, a mistake that costs her dearly when she loses Pina and nearly her own life in the Forest of Wandering. Being rescued in that moment by Kirito leaves a lasting impression on her.
After Aincrad is cleared, Silica continues playing as a Cait Sith in ALfheim Online and remains a close friend within Kirito and Asuna's circle, one of the core cast of the Girls' Ops side stories alongside Suguha and Lisbeth.
