Synopsis
Pina is a Feathered Little Dragon and the first tamed monster recorded in Sword Art Online, bonded to Silica after she becomes the first player to succeed at taming one. Small enough to perch on her shoulder or head, Pina understands Silica's commands and instinctively looks out for her safety, acting less like a game pet and more like a genuine companion.
The bond between them becomes a defining part of Silica's story: when overconfidence leads her into danger in the Forest of Wandering, it is Pina's death that triggers the crisis, and the desperate search for a way to revive it that follows. That loss, and its resolution, mark one of the more emotional threads of the early Aincrad arc.
Pina survives into ALfheim Online as Silica's Cait Sith familiar, continuing to accompany her there in the same role it held throughout the death game, a small but constant presence at her side.
