Synopsis
Shirō Ashiya — known in his true demon form as Alciel — is one of the Four Great Demon Generals who fled to Earth alongside his master after their defeat in Ente Isla. Settled at the Villa Rosa Sasazuka apartment with Sadao Maou, he takes on the role of self-declared house-husband, cooking, cleaning, and tightly managing the household's meager finances.
Before the war, Alciel led the Iron Scorpions, a demon clan famed for its defensive tactics and telekinetic magic, joining Satan's forces as one of his Four Generals after losing a duel to him. Though stripped of most of his power on Earth, his loyalty never wavered — he still addresses his former lord with the same formal deference, even in public.
Ashiya's frugality has become something of a running theme, worsened once the carefree Hanzō Urushihara moves in and racks up bills on games and online shopping. His weakness for money is occasionally exploited by Emi Yusa when she needs information, and despite his disdain for humanity, he has come to genuinely care for the people around him.
