Aria

Aria is a wealthy young girl in the Empire's Capital who offers a homeless Tatsumi shelter after he is conned out of his savings, presenting herself as kind and generous. Behind her cheerful, cute demeanor, however, lies the same cruelty shared by her whole family: along with her parents, she lures peasants from the countryside into their mansion under the guise of charity, then tortures them to death for entertainment.

Aria's true nature is exposed when Tatsumi discovers his missing friends locked away in the household's storehouse, including Sayo, who was tortured to death out of Aria's petty jealousy over her hair. Confronted with the truth and given the chance to admit her crimes, Aria confesses without remorse — a final, damning mistake that leads a devastated Tatsumi to kill her himself.
