Amane

Amane is Yukiyo Misaki's mother and the maternal grandmother of both Mei Misaki and her twin sister Misaki Fujioka. She works as the receptionist at the doll shop her daughter runs, Misaki M. Studio, greeting customers from the same seat near the entrance.

Amane appears to suffer from some form of memory loss, repeating the same questions to Kouichi Sakakibara nearly every time he visits the shop, as though meeting him for the first time again and again, despite his frequent visits to see Mei.

Gentle and unassuming, Amane plays a small but recurring role in the story, a quiet fixture of the shop that anchors much of Mei's private life outside school, even as her own condition keeps her only loosely connected to the events unfolding around her family.
