Synopsis
Maka is a two-star meister at the DWMA and the daughter of Death's former weapon partner, Spirit Albarn. Having grown up watching her father's constant infidelity, she resolved to become a stronger scythe-meister than her mother ever needed and threw herself into training with her weapon partner, the demon scythe Soul Evans.
Bright, hardworking and outspoken, she is very much the opposite of the laid-back and impulsive Soul. Maka studies constantly, is quick to help a friend in need, and rarely shies away from a hard truth — though her bluntness and lingering resentment toward her father can get the better of her. Her signature "Maka Chop," delivered with a book to the skull, has become one of the show's most recognizable running gags.
Together with Soul, she grows from a promising academy student into a meister capable of standing against the most dangerous witches and the Kishin itself, becoming one of the strongest fighters of her generation.
