Synopsis
Mikasa's mother was the wife of an Ackerman man and mother of Mikasa Ackerman, living with her family in a forest near Shiganshina District until the day human traffickers targeted them for their rare bloodline.
Kind and loving, she held tradition in high regard, once bandaging her daughter's arm while explaining the meaning of their clan's mark — a lesson cut short by the arrival of the men who came to sell both her and Mikasa. When intruders killed her husband at the door, she placed herself between them and her daughter, fighting back fiercely before being killed herself; Mikasa was taken, only to be rescued shortly after by Eren Yeager.
