Synopsis
Mikasa Ackerman is one of the two deuteragonists of Attack on Titan, alongside Armin Arlert. After human traffickers murdered her parents, she was rescued by Eren Yeager and taken in by his family before the fall of Wall Maria. As the last known descendant of an Asian clan tied to the Azumabito family, she carries a rare bloodline connection few in the Walls share.
Once a cheerful, gentle child, Mikasa grew emotionally withdrawn and formidable after the trauma of her parents' deaths, graduating first in her class at the 104th Training Corps. She later joins the Survey Corps largely to stay close to and protect Eren, becoming one of its most capable soldiers in the process. Beneath her stoic, intimidating exterior, she remains fiercely devoted to the few people she considers family, rarely losing her composure even in the bleakest situations.
