Synopsis
Abengane is a Greed Island player who passed Tsezguerra's screening alongside twenty other applicants and entered the game from Battera's mansion.
He is a tall, lean man with dark skin and black hair, dressed in a dark blue long-sleeved shirt streaked with light blue and dark blue trousers with pale cuffs. When he needs to hide his appearance he throws on a beige cloak under a yellow poncho.
Abengane is taciturn and reflective, concealing his emotions and keeping his composure even when his life is at stake. He thinks logically and quickly; while not exactly greedy, he pays very close attention to money.
He is exceptionally perceptive — he worked out the general principles behind Nickes' group's tactics within minutes of entering the game, and his deductions about how the cards worked prompted Puhat to ask whether he had played before. He is not, however, among the very strongest players. Voiced by Eiji Hanawa in the 2011 series and Daisuke Hirakawa in the 1999 one.
