Synopsis
Zepile is an appraiser at home in the black market and the auction circuit, and the man who helped Gon and Killua raise the money for a copy of Greed Island. They met when he outbid them on an odd vase at the Bull Market.
He has short light brown hair with long sideburns, and his most prominent feature is a pair of thick, wavy eyebrows. He wears a red blazer edged in black over a white shirt with a broad collar that leaves much of his chest exposed, with dark trousers.
Zepile was once a counterfeit artist, and he feels genuine remorse for the fakes he produced — he buys his own work back wherever he can, trying to make some kind of amends.
He is a skilled sculptor, able both to craft a convincing forgery and to spot someone else's; he taught the boys how to open the wooden vault and advised them through the mechanics of the auction world. He is also a natural at Nen, having used aura unconsciously without knowing what it was. Voiced by Masami Kikuchi in the 2011 series and Jin Yamanoi in the 1999 one.
