Synopsis
Aguri Yukimura is a former teacher of Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School and the older sister of Kaede Kayano, whose real name is Akari Yukimura. Kind, considerate, cheerful, and genuinely passionate about teaching, she could handle virtually any subject, though chemistry was always her favorite.
Aguri balanced her teaching job with work as a night lab assistant for her fiancé, Kotaro Yanagisawa, a demanding arrangement she agreed to despite the toll it took on her. She was eventually assigned to look after a newly captured master assassin known as the Reaper, since none of the other assistants were willing to get close to him, essentially treated by Yanagisawa as an expendable sacrificial lamb. The Reaper was originally meant to use her as his means of escape, but the two instead form a genuine, unexpected bond.
Aguri's empathy and insight, sharp enough to understand why the Reaper's own apprentice once betrayed him, ultimately play a decisive role in both her tragic fate and the assassin's transformation into Korosensei.
