Synopsis
Junpei Yoshino was a high school student at Satozakura High who briefly befriended Yuji Itadori before meeting Mahito, an encounter that turned him into a curse user. Reserved and deeply apathetic, he held an openly negative view of people and society, claiming he'd never bother pressing a button that killed everyone he hated — but would press one without hesitation if it killed everyone who hated him instead.
Junpei's indifference was rooted in real trauma: years of bullying and rejection had convinced him people were inherently evil, to the point that even their deaths barely registered with him. A quiet, isolated film enthusiast, he tried starting his own club at school, only for bullies to take it over and eventually set him on fire while no one intervened. That festering pain made him easy prey for Mahito, who fed his darkness and pushed him from indifference toward outright hatred and revenge — leaving Junpei unable to see what Mahito truly was until it was too late.
