Synopsis
Torgrim (Japanese: トルグリム, Torugurimu) is a former warrior of Askeladd's band and the elder brother of Atli in the historical drama Vinland Saga. He begins as a burly man with short blond hair, a moustache and goatee, and green eyes; after the time skip he grows his hair long and wears chainmail armour. Like the rest of Askeladd's men, he despises Christians.
Together with his brother Atli, Torgrim is one of the few to survive a clash with the mighty warrior Thorkell. The sight of Thorkell in battle, however, left him so shaken that he suffered a severe breakdown: overwhelmed by shock and then amnesia, his personality reverted to that of a child.
Broken by the experience, Torgrim leaves Askeladd's band. He now lives under the care of his brother Atli. He is voiced by Hiroki Gotō in Japanese, and by Orlanders Tao Jones and Sean Chiplock in English.
