Tore

Tore (Japanese: トーレ, Tōre) is a warrior in Askeladd's band in the historical drama Vinland Saga. He has slicked-back chestnut hair, a goatee, and grey eyes, and wears a helmet and a grey shirt over a dark outfit. He is an irascible man who loses his temper easily when his comrades needle him.

During the invasion of England in November 1013, his band raided a farming village near Bath. After the inhabitants were slaughtered, the Vikings held a feast, and Tore ate alongside his companions, among them Ake, while they debated Askeladd's plans. When Ake dismissed him as a fool, noting that their band barely numbered over a hundred men, Tore flared up, refused to apologize, and shot back by branding Ake a cow thief.

The quarrel escalated into a duel. Björn noticed the fight but chose not to intervene, letting the two settle it themselves and ordering only that Askeladd be told if either man died. Ake's stubbornness cost him his life, as Tore ran him through the chest with his sword. He is voiced by Tsuguo Mogami in Japanese and Benjamin Diskin in English.
