Synopsis
Yūya Tomita is the chairman of the Sumiredōri Shopping District and the second-generation owner of the Tomitaya bento shop, one of Sōma Yukihira's many neighbors from the district that shaped his early values. The wiki's page on Yūya remains a stub, and relatively little is documented about him beyond his role in the neighborhood.
Despite his official position as chairman, Yūya is a soft-spoken, timid man who is easily talked over and often ends up the target of good-natured teasing from the district's other shopkeepers. When good news reaches him, however, he becomes hyperactive, throwing himself into whatever will keep the neighborhood's spirits up, only to slip back into his usual meekness if his efforts don't pan out.
Yūya wears glasses and has brown hair and blue eyes. As a longtime fixture of Sōma's home turf, he represents the close-knit shopping district community that Restaurant Yukihira belongs to, even if the story has not given him a substantial arc of his own.
