Synopsis
Ryoma Terasaka is a student in Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School. At the start of the series he's a petty bully with a passive-aggressive attitude toward everything school-related, intimidating higher-achieving classmates into doing his academic work for him.
Terasaka relies on brawn and volume rather than brains, bullying weaker students into submission or outright forcing them to comply, and it's implied that riding on other people's achievements is how he got into the prestigious Kunugigaoka in the first place. At school he ends up in the same class as Natsuhiko Koyama, later one of the school's top five scorers, and his attempt to bully Koyama into submission instead sets off an unexpectedly interesting dynamic between them.
Over time, gaining experience in Class 3-E alongside Itona Horibe and others, Terasaka gradually grows from a small-time bully into one of the group's recognized leaders.
