Synopsis
Itona Horibe is one of two official transfer students, alongside Ritsu, sent to Class 3-E as living weapons against Korosensei. He initially serves as a major antagonist before ultimately becoming a genuine member of the class.
The son of the former president of Horibe Electronics, Itona was abandoned by relatives after his father's company went bankrupt and grew up bullied by classmates who called him weak and powerless. That experience fueled an unhealthy obsession with strength and victory. When the mysterious Shiro found him and offered to make him the strongest man alive by implanting tentacles, Itona accepted eagerly, desperate to prove himself by defeating Korosensei outright.
While under the tentacles' influence, Itona involuntarily picked up Korosensei's habits and interests, right down to his sense of humor. After Shiro abandons him and Ryoma Terasaka's group takes him in, Itona gradually mellows out and grows more humble, eventually able to admit that there are people stronger than him.
