Synopsis
Rina Takizaki is the singer and guitarist of Prophecy, an unauthorized band that operates outside the Sibyl System's approval process, and a committed voice in the growing protest movement against Sibyl's control over creative expression. Rebellious by nature, she meets Yayoi Kunizuka backstage at a concert and the two begin a relationship rooted in their shared love of music.
Years later, after Kunizuka has become an Enforcer, Takizaki reappears and tries to persuade her old girlfriend to join the rebellion instead. When Kunizuka refuses and levels her Dominator at her, Takizaki calmly bets that Kunizuka won't actually shoot — and she's nearly right: the weapon fails to fire only because Kunizuka isn't yet a registered user. The confrontation drives Kunizuka further into her new role as a law enforcement officer, even as Takizaki continues down her own path of open defiance against Sibyl.
