Synopsis
Tomohito Sugino is a student in Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School and one of the closest friends of Nagisa Shiota. Energetic and outgoing, he has a genuine love of baseball and gets along easily with his classmates.
Before transferring to Class 3-E, Sugino played on the school's baseball team, but his relatively slow pitches got him repeatedly batted around until he was dropped from the starting lineup. Losing his motivation to study after that embarrassment, he gradually slid down into the assassination class.
Even with his baseball ambitions cut short, Sugino's cheerful, easygoing nature makes him one of the warmest presences in Class 3-E, and his enduring friendship with Nagisa remains one of the steady constants throughout the school year, whether they're plotting an assassination attempt or just goofing around between classes.
