Ottarl

Ottar is a giant Boaz and the strongest fighter in Freya's familia, known by the title "King." Quiet, stoic, and remarkably blunt, he shows little warmth toward others, a trait dating back to childhood, when Freya found him abandoned and half-dead in an alley and gave him both a home and his very name.

Devotion to his goddess became the purpose of Ottar's entire life: he carries out her will without hesitation, though not blindly, having argued with her more than once when he judged a decision too dangerous, and acting on his own initiative whenever he believed it served her better. He feels no jealousy over Freya's fixation on Bell Cranel, and he wouldn't even mind if she stopped loving the boy altogether.

Ottar holds himself to an impossibly high standard, and everyone else to nearly as high a one: having grown up around legendary fighters of the Zeus and Hera familias, he still considers himself lacking, even though he now surpasses nearly every adventurer of his generation, and that unquenchable drive to push past his own limits is his single most defining trait.
