Synopsis
Yuta Okkotsu is a special grade jujutsu sorcerer who spent much of his childhood haunted by the vengeful spirit of his late friend Rika Orimoto, until Satoru Gojo enrolled him at Tokyo Jujutsu High and trained him to control his power instead of fearing it. As a first-year he defeated Suguru Geto in battle and finally freed Rika's soul, before leaving Japan to continue his training abroad.
Timid and lonely as a bullied child, Yuta struggled to connect with people even after Rika's presence faded from his life, often feeling like he unintentionally scared others away. It was Maki Zenin calling him out for drifting through life without any real goals that pushed him toward genuine resolve. Slowly, and while never fully losing his timid streak, Yuta learns to open up — including to classmates like Toge Inumaki, who at first frightens him simply by being hard to read.
