Synopsis
Yuji Norita is a wealthy teenager who initially comes across as lazy and entitled, coasting entirely on his famous television-announcer father's reputation, before deciding to change for the better with encouragement from Nagisa Shiota.
Spoiled by his upbringing, Yuji never learned to genuinely enjoy anything and tried to look cool through smoking, drinking, and a handful of other bad habits, all while masking a deep discomfort with confrontation. Surrounded since childhood by people who only got close to curry favor with his father, he developed a sharp eye for spotting when someone is lying to him.
Meeting Nagisa, who was disguised as a girl during an island infiltration mission, changes everything for Yuji: he falls for him at first sight, and even after learning the truth and being heartbroken, he holds onto his affection and promises Nagisa he'll become a better person, giving up his old vices and the self-loathing that came with them.
