Synopsis
Junta Nakao is part of Izumi Akazawa's close circle in Class 3-3, often seen alongside her and Takako Sugiura discussing the countermeasures. Easygoing with most of his classmates, including Kouichi Sakakibara, he harbors quiet feelings for Izumi that occasionally surface as jealousy.
On a group trip to the beach meant to relax while waiting on a lead about the curse, Junta volunteers to retrieve Takako's ball after it blows out into the water, a small, ordinary gesture that turns disastrous almost immediately.
An unnoticed head injury from earlier that day, worsened while he swims, leaves him unable to reach shore in time, and Junta's sudden death in the water becomes one of the summer's most shocking losses, deeply affecting everyone who witnesses it, especially Takako.
