Synopsis
Yui Michimiya is the former captain and a wing spiker for Karasuno High's girls' volleyball team, who attended Izumitate Junior High alongside Daichi Sawamura and Hayato Ikejiri. She stepped down from the club after the Interhigh, passing the captaincy on to Rinko Sudou.
Energetic, cheerful, and quick with a joke, Michimiya genuinely cares about her team and regularly delivers motivational speeches, even though she admits privately that she doesn't consider herself strict enough as a captain. She refuses to cry in front of her teammates, keeping her composure whenever things get discouraging. Interestingly, around Daichi — a friend since childhood — all that composure tends to disappear, leaving her flustered and stumbling over her words.
As of 2021, Michimiya works as a hotel employee.
