Synopsis
Yuuki Konno is the co-founder and second leader of the Sleeping Knights, a guild formed by terminally ill players who met in the virtual hospice Serene Garden and traveled through several VR worlds together as a way to ease their final months. Diagnosed with an immune disorder from early childhood after a complication during birth, she spent years cycling through hospitalizations before an experimental FullDive device let her live almost entirely online.
In ALfheim Online she earns the nickname Absolute Sword after winning sixty-seven consecutive duels, including one against Kirito, and creates an original eleven-hit sword skill of her own. Loud, direct, and unwilling to waste the time she has left, Yuuki believes some truths can only be delivered bluntly, and forms a close bond with Asuna in her final weeks.
Knowing her illness has reached its limit, Yuuki chooses to spend her last moments logged into the game, surrounded by her guildmates and the friends she made along the way, passing peacefully in Asuna's arms rather than in a hospital bed.
