Synopsis
Moeka Kiryu works as a freelance editor and is so dependent on her phone that she barely speaks aloud, preferring to text even people standing right next to her. Her search for the legendary IBN 5100 retro computer eventually brings her into Rintarou Okabe's orbit in Akihabara.
In person Moeka is withdrawn and nearly expressionless, but over text she becomes an entirely different person, playful, upbeat, and full of emoticons and slang. That contrast hides a deep loneliness rooted in a difficult, neglectful childhood.
At her lowest point, a message from a mysterious contact known only as FB gave her exactly the sense of being wanted that she craved, and she joined the mercenary group known as the Rounders soon after. She follows FB's orders without question, unaware that she is actually reporting to Yuugo Tennouji, the shopkeeper she walks past every day.
