Kazuma

Kazuma, born Kiyotsugu Hirano, serves as guidepost to Bishamon and, in secret, as a shinki of Yato as well — a double loyalty that weighs on him more than he lets show. Calm, sensible, and unfailingly polite, he is the one who actually keeps Bishamon's household running, and he privately calls her by an affectionate pet name that gives away just how much he cares.

That devotion has a dark edge to it. In the past, to save Bishamon from being consumed by blight, Kazuma asked Yato to kill her entire former clan of shinki — a decision he still carries as guilt, made heavier by never having told Bishamon the whole truth of what happened. He honors his debts scrupulously because of it, Yato's included.

None of this stops him from being good company: patient enough to coach Yukine through new techniques, and prone to teasing his friends even while managing a household of far less composed shinki than himself.
