Synopsis
Yukiko Kanzaki is a student in Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School, known for her grace, helpfulness, and reliability. Kind, calm, and refined, she nonetheless has plenty of backbone and isn't afraid to stand her ground, sometimes in fairly assertive ways.
Kanzaki comes from a conservative, strict, and wealthy family where status meant everything and her father held her to an impossibly high standard of the ideal daughter. The pressure eventually pushed her to rebel, skipping her studies for arcade games, which tanked her grades, especially in chemistry, and got her dropped into Class 3-E.
Despite her elegant manners, Kanzaki can be surprisingly ruthless when the situation calls for it, as when she calmly holds classmates Ryunosuke Chiba, Taiga Okajima, and Sosuke Sugaya at gunpoint during a civil-war training exercise, all while keeping her usual gentle smile. That blend of refinement and hidden resolve makes her one of the class's most distinctive personalities.
