Synopsis
Ikalgo is an octopus-like Chimera Ant and a former Captain in Leol's squad who, after meeting Killua, joined the Extermination Team.
His body is red and almost entirely that of an octopus — eight tentacles lined with suction cups — with only his face standing apart: a round mouth with thick lips, round eyes and heavy eyebrows.
Ikalgo is an acute observer who works a fight out before entering it. Honour matters to him: given the choice by Killua, he would rather have died than betray a comrade. What ultimately turned him was Killua's remark that the two of them could have been friends.
The reason it landed is an inferiority complex — he genuinely dislikes his own appearance, and Killua was the first to make him feel he was worth something. That self-loathing came to him from his octopus component, along with a profound admiration for the beauty of squids; in his human life he served as an NGL soldier alongside Zaiqahal and Gyro, fighting the Chimera Ants.
He is an excellent strategist: infiltrating the palace, he generated a multitude of backup plans in a matter of seconds from whatever resources were at hand. Voiced by Romi Park.
