Igarashi

Igarashi is a fellow survivor of the same train crash that killed Yuzuru Otonashi. After the wreck, the two of them stepped up as de facto leaders among the few survivors once it became clear both ends of the tunnel were blocked.

Under their joint leadership, most of the rescued passengers held out for seven days with almost no food or water. Yuzuru's condition kept worsening from a stomach wound, though, and he died at the exact moment rescuers finally arrived, with Igarashi calling out his name to the end. What became of Igarashi afterward is never revealed.
