Synopsis
Rei Hououmaru is Ragyou Kiryuuin's secretary at the Revocs Corporation, a minor antagonist in the main series and the primary villain of a separate OVA special.
Rei presents a consistently serious, professional front, though she occasionally allows herself personal remarks about Ragyou even as her subordinate. Her loyalty to her mistress is absolute; she does not hesitate to put herself at risk for Ragyou's sake, even offering herself as the final sacrifice to activate Shinra-Koketsu.
Twenty years earlier, Rei was a child from an African village caught in civil war, rescued by Ragyou while searching for people with high Life Fiber compatibility. Since then Rei has served Revocs faithfully, carrying out her mistress's orders regardless of how horrifying she knows the plans to be.
After Ragyou's death, Rei sets out for revenge against everyone she blames for it, building dark clones of Satsuki and the Elite Four out of Revocs's remaining Life Fibers. The plan is ultimately foiled by Ryuuko and the academy's defenders, and Satsuki herself talks Rei into dropping the knife and the vendetta, offering her a place among those helping the sinking Honnou City instead.
