Synopsis
Hanzo is a Cloud-Hidden style jonin from Jappon who passed the 287th Hunter Exam and later became a bodyguard to Prince Marayam Hui Guo Rou. He entered the exam chasing the Hermit's Scroll, said to be held in a country closed to commoners.
He is a bald young man with feather-like eyebrows and a body kept extremely fit by his training, dressed in a black shirt with heavy shoulder pads, grey trousers, a red bandana at his neck and white bandages at wrists and ankles. Serving the Kakin princes, he swaps all of it for a black suit and tie.
His most conspicuous trait is how much he talks — that, along with his good humour, sudden bursts of temper and occasional gullibility, sits oddly with a ninja upbringing. Confidence tips easily into overconfidence and he gives too much away. Yet he can turn cold and focused without warning: he was trained from birth and had already killed before the age of eleven.
During the exam he outclassed Gon in both speed and strength. Voiced by Daisuke Kishio in the 2011 adaptation and Yoshiaki Matsumoto in the 1999 one.
