Synopsis
Misato Gori is a Rank 2 Ghoul Investigator who, during the events of Tokyo Ghoul, was stationed in the 13th Ward under the command of Iwao Kuroiwa. She is a tall, powerfully built woman of androgynous appearance, with short dark hair, a fierce gaze, and a distinctive birthmark in the center of her forehead. Like most CCG investigators, she favors formal suits and wears slacks rather than a skirt.
Passionate, proud, and utterly serious about her work, Misato is decisive and energetic, and she deeply respects her superiors. Her confidence, however, comes paired with a striking lack of tact that can make her seem aggressive, though she is also capable of genuine grief for fallen comrades.
She is secretly in love with Koutarou Amon but cannot bring herself to confess. To hide her feelings she acted gruff toward him, and later tried to learn to cook for his sake—an effort doomed by the fact that she is a hopelessly bad cook. When Amon was declared dead, she became hysterical and refused to accept it.
In combat Misato serves as ranged fire support, wielding the ukaku quinque Emelio, which unleashes barrages of crystallized Rc cells. She is voiced by Reina Ueda in Japanese and Trina Nishimura in English.
