Dyne leads a PvP squadron in Gun Gale Online that specializes in ambushing weaker, low-risk opponents rather than seeking fair fights. Cautious to a fault, he orders retreats at the first sign of real danger, yet remains overconfident about his squad's ability to repeat past successes — a mindset that leaves them badly unprepared when they cross paths with the mercenary Behemoth.

Despite openly criticizing monster-hunting players as predictable and gutless, Dyne runs his own operations the same way, ambushing an unsuspecting group in a near-identical manner — a hypocrisy he never seems to notice in himself. He reaches the finals of at least the first three Bullet of Bullets tournaments, ranking eighteenth in the second, and later faces off directly against the sniper Sinon (Shino Asada) on a bridge during the third, a duel that costs him the match against Pale Rider.
