Synopsis
Buhara is a Gourmet Hunter who examined the Second Phase of the 287th Hunter Exam alongside Menchi. He is a hulking figure with a considerable potbelly and an even more considerable appetite.
His easygoing nature contrasts sharply with his partner's exacting standards. He has a tricky streak of his own, though: he told the applicants they could catch any kind of boar, when the only species living in the Visca Forest Preserve was the most dangerous in the world.
Ravenous, Buhara demanded roast pork, and seventy of the hundred and forty-eight applicants managed it — unlike Menchi's follow-up challenge, which nobody passed.
His most remarkable trait is being able to eat more than his own body weight: seventy roasted Great Stamps went down in a single sitting, which only inhumanly fast digestion can explain. Voiced by Jun'ichi Kanemaru in the 2011 series and Keiji Takahashi in the 1999 one.
