Synopsis

Bodoro was an elderly martial artist, one of the twenty-four applicants who cleared the Third Phase of the 287th Hunter Exam inside Trick Tower and reached Zevil Island.

He was a muscular grey-haired man with a prominent chin, a moustache and long hair tied back in a ponytail, always seen in a martial artist's traditional robes. The 1999 adaptation gives him darker hair, which makes him look somewhat younger.

Bodoro held to a personal code of honour that forbade him from fighting children, no matter how capable those children happened to be.

In the final phase his bout with Leorio was postponed — Leorio considered it unfair to fight a wounded opponent. That Bodoro reached the last stage of a notoriously brutal exam at all speaks to stamina and agility well above average. Voiced by Naoki Bandō in the 2011 adaptation and Eiji Takemoto in the 1999 one.
