Argo

Argo is an SAO beta tester turned information broker, known throughout Aincrad by her nickname, earned from the whisker markings she paints on her face, originally a leftover mark from a failed skill quest that she decided to keep. Rather than fighting on the front lines, she makes her living selling field guides and information to clearers, earning a small fortune in the process.

Business comes first for Argo, and she is known to charge for almost anything that can be priced. Even so, she holds firm principles: she refuses to sell out fellow beta testers by naming them, aware of how dangerous that hostility already is, and she is scrupulous about honoring debts, as shown when she helps Kirito after he once saved her from a hostile guild.

Her network of contacts and constant information-gathering make her one of the best-informed players in the game, and her guidebooks quietly help keep countless clearers alive even though she rarely fights herself.
