Synopsis
Takanobu Aone is a middle blocker for Date Tech High, considered the central pillar of the school's legendary Iron Wall. Despite an intimidating look — sharpened further by his almost entirely missing eyebrows — Aone is genuinely kind-hearted and even-tempered. He's usually the one who steps in to defuse arguments between teammates, including between Kenji Futakuchi and Kamasaki.
Shy around strangers and mindful of how others see him, Aone rarely speaks first, which makes it all the more noticeable to his own teammates whenever he does. On the court, that reticence turns into pure focus: he stays composed through even the toughest rallies and has a habit of locking onto the opposing ace as his primary target.
As a first-year, Aone was already central to a crushing Date Tech victory over Karasuno, helping completely shut down the spikes of Karasuno's then-ace, Asahi Azumane. After graduating, Aone works construction while continuing to play middle blocker for a municipal team in Miyagi.
