Alicia Rue is the elected Lord of the Cait Sith race in ALfheim Online, chosen by popular vote to lead her people during the game's ongoing race war for the World Tree. Diplomatically minded, she forms an alliance with the Sylph race, led by Sakuya, aiming to break the deadlock that keeps every race locked out of the tree's upper realm.

As Lord, Rue carries real authority within her race's structure but is also bound by its safety restrictions, which limit how freely she can leave protected zones, a constraint that shapes her role as more of a strategist and figurehead than a front-line fighter. She takes her responsibility to her people seriously, weighing alliances and diplomacy over unilateral action.

Her cooperation with the Sylphs against Eugene's Salamanders becomes a key thread of the Fairy Dance Arc, tying her fate to the wider conflict that eventually draws in Suguha and Kirito as well.
