Akiha serves as Bishamon's lead physician among her shinki, a short, sturdily built man who takes his medical duties seriously even when his personality doesn't naturally suit the pressure that comes with them. He holds his ground on his own ideas but can crumble under enough stress, and isn't above being talked into one drink too many at a household gathering.

What stands out about him is a basic decency that crosses lines other shinki wouldn't bother with — he openly credits Yukine's ability to become a blessed regalia as genuinely impressive, despite Yukine belonging to a rival household. In a crisis, alongside fellow shinki Kuraha, he has helped lead the non-combat shinki to safety while ayakashi attacked, showing real concern for people below him in the household hierarchy rather than just following orders.
