Kay Yu is an American animator and video game developer. He is well known within the Hololive community as the developer of the Hololive fan games, HoloCure and Holo X Break.

Prior to HoloCure, Kay Yu has been known in the community for his short fan animations, which have many times been used as stream intro/ending sequences by the featured talents themselves.

In 2005 when Kay Yu was a kid he found a game engine called Game Maker and developed a interest in video game development, He also started learning animation on his own due to wanting to become a video game developer.

Yu is Kay Yu's real family name and Kay is the first letter of his real Chinese name.
