The group was originally debuted as Sexy Zone consisting of 5 members: Shouri Satou, Kento Nakajima, Marius Yo, Fuma Kikuchi and Sou Matsushima. In the early years, Matsushima was also active as Sexy Show (Sexy 松（Show）), and Marius was also active as Sexy Boyz, which confused the fans regarding the group's activity.

Matsushima took 2 years break due to Panic Disorder. when Matsushima was back Marius became physically unwell, who left the group and retired from the entertainment industry in 2022.

Nakajima announced his leave on March 31, 2024 but remained in the agency as a talent and actor, and the group would change to timelesz beginning April 1, 2024. The group also launched a project where new members were accepted via audition.
