Ryuuichi Makino

Mr. Makino was born on January 3, 1962 at Aichi Pref., Japan. He entered a studio as a young inbetweener after graduating from anime school. After a year in the studio, he soon became the key-frame animator. Another year later, he left..or should we say the studio fired him because he signed up with other anime work behind their back. Mr. Makino turned freelance after that and worked actively in the game industry. He has very high reputation for drawing female characters and many game or anime magazines ask him to draw the cover girl for them. In 1985 he met Mr. Hayashi Hiroki through another studio and Mr. Hayashi invited him to join the design work of "Battle Athletes". Later he joined AIC and became one of the main animation directors and character designers in AIC. Mr. Makino's latest work is "BPS" and he was the animation director of "Please Teacher" and "Petite Princess Yucie".
