Zeal

Zeal is the younger brother of Guila and the son of the disgraced Holy Knight Dale, who vanished without explanation on a mission years earlier. Because of the suspicion surrounding his father's disappearance, Zeal grows up repeatedly bullied in his hometown while his sister is away on knightly duty, unable to protect him.

Despite the bullying, Zeal remains sweet-natured and stays in surprisingly high spirits, looking up to Guila with genuine admiration even as he absorbs the town's hostility toward their family. That same admiration shapes his worldview: he grows to dislike the Seven Deadly Sins simply because they are the Holy Knights' enemies, without much awareness of the larger truth behind the conflict.

Years later, once peace returns to the kingdom, Zeal has grown into an adult and taken up work as a blacksmith, trading his childhood hardship for a quiet trade and thick, practical gloves. Whatever rumors once surrounded his family, he never stops believing in them, holding onto that loyalty long after the reasons for the town's suspicion have faded.
