Synopsis
Kyouko Yuuki is the mother of Asuna and Kouichirou, and the wife of Yuuki Shouzou. Born into a rice-farming family in Miyagi, she grew up resenting her modest background and set out to secure a very different future for her own daughter, one built on status and financial security rather than the life she had known.
That determination hardens into a strict, controlling parenting style: she dictates Asuna's schooling, regulates her time in FullDive down to the minute, and even selects Sugou Nobuyuki as her intended future husband, a decision that ends in disaster. After Asuna finally opens up to her about her feelings, Kyouko softens only slightly, still keeping her demanding exterior but genuinely trying to accommodate her daughter's own choices, so long as she believes they will lead to success. She later attempts to arrange a match between Asuna and her cousin, believing him equally suitable simply for being similarly accomplished.
