Synopsis
Yamaarashi is a Shadow Beast whose codename means "porcupine", one of the four the Ten Dons sent into the Gordeau Desert against the Phantom Troupe.
He was a man of small stature who appeared to have no nose, dressed in casual sportswear and flip-flops. He inspired little fear: next to his more intimidating comrades he seemed almost friendly and docile, and his largely expressionless face read as sullen rather than threatening.
He was mostly apathetic in temperament — and it was he who observed, levelly, that the thieves they were dealing with were no petty criminals but professionals.
His abilities suited personal defence above all, creating the openings his comrades needed to finish an opponent off. As a Shadow Beast he held influence in the Mafia Community and ranked among the Dons' best fighters, but he was no match for Uvogin. Voiced by Takahiko Sakaguma in the 2011 series and Akio Takahashi in the 1999 one.
