Synopsis
Hana Usami is Ryosuke Shiba's subordinate at the Bureau of Espionage and a backup member of the Black Torch squad. Raised by two police-officer parents she idolized, she trained in judo from elementary school through college, consistently placing near the top of tournaments, and finally achieved her childhood dream of joining the police as a bodyguard for VIPs. Talented and well-liked, she was soon scouted by the Bureau and quickly passed her onmitsu training — until a mission went wrong: ordered to kill an armed target, Hana couldn't pull the trigger, and another agent had to finish the job. Labeled unfit for fieldwork, she was reassigned to a desk in Division 2. After watching Jiro and the others risk their lives during the Amagi incident, something in her shifted, and she began seeking out Toshimasa Azuma for combat training — determined that next time, she'll be ready to give everything to protect the people she cares about.
